Coupling type selection When selecting the coupling type, the following items should be considered.
① The size and nature of the required transmission torque, the requirements for buffering and vibration reduction functions, and whether resonance may occur.
②Due to manufacturing and assembly errors, the deformation of the shaft load and thermal expansion leads to the relative displacement of the two shafts caused by the relative movement between the components.
③ The allowable external dimensions and installation methods are the operation space necessary for easy assembly, adjustment, and maintenance. For large couplings, it should be possible to disassemble and assemble the shaft without axial movement.
 
When choosing, please note that the rated torque must be higher than the system load torque. The rated torque has taken into account the variable load factor during operation. Therefore, it is not necessary to adjust the estimated torque value when selecting. Commonly used elastic couplings now have their standard models. Flexible couplings are widely used couplings in equipment. The common types of elastic couplings are divided into plum blossom elastic couplings, elastic diaphragm couplings, star-shaped elastic couplings, and aluminum alloy flexible couplings. The elastic coupling is a stud made of several non-metallic elastic materials, placed in the flange hole of the two coupling halves, and the stud realizes the mating of the two coupling halves. The coupling has a simple structure and is easy to manufacture. It is convenient to install, disassemble, and replace the elastic element without moving the two linkages.
